Parenting is one of the most successful, yet scariest journeys that parents will ever be on. Regardless if you have one child, or five – each one will show you something new and quite possibly test you in ways you never imagined. One area that most parents struggle with is knowing which battles to pick, and why.
Most people were raised with parents who said it was “their way or the highway” and didn’t leave much room for negotiating. In more recent years, we are finding out that children are much more combative and confident in expressing their needs and wants. Cue in the parents’ hard decision to argue with them, or not. Perhaps giving them their way is what’s best at times, or is it?
